Why Google Docs?
As a designer, I’m always striving to create documents that support my clients’ brand, are aesthetically pleasing and functional. With decades of experience, I know how to get an effective result but I am using the latest software and technologies to assist me in achieving the outcome.
It was when my clients started asking for documents that they could edit themselves, that I investigated ways of providing deliverables that not only looked good, but were functional.
This is easy enough to achieve with professional design programs, but what if you don’t want or need to invest in this expensive software.
With this in mind, I have created a system of mix-and-match Google Docs templates that anyone can use taking the guesswork out of design.
Google accounts are free to anyone and easily accessible online
It’s intuitive and easy to learn
Files are cloud-based so they are real-time and can be shared with teams, clients and contributors
Google Docs utilises the extensive Google Fonts library at no cost
It includes a wide range of editing and design features
Files can be output as PDFs or converted to Microsoft Word if required
Supporting apps including Google Sheets, Google Slides and Google Forms that all interact cohesively
Integrated with Google Drive for cloud-based data storage
Anyone who has used Microsoft Word will have no problems picking up Google Docs, and for those with no experience, Google Docs is simple to use and easily learned with a little practice. To make things even easier, I’ve created supporting videos for each template to guide you through each step along the way.
